ABSTRACTION / ARCHITECTURE
Being trained in graphic design, I often see things in terms of pattern and texture. The nature of a photograph is to flatten three dimensions into two, and the nature of black and white photography is to reduce an image to purity of form and composition, with no color to confuse the issue. I often think that the way I see reduces almost everything I look at to pattern and/or abstraction.
