AUTOS

My love for detail, for sinuous curves and tactile surfaces extends to the high polish of chrome and enamel on vintage autos.  I have been “in the right place at the right time” several times – in the blazing sun of Phoenix Arizona where row upon row of midcentury beauties baked in the heat and reflected the glare, in the Victoria and Albert, London, when there was a showing of Vintage Alfa Romeos, and in Paris when the Peking to Paris 10,000 mile, month long race, using early 20th Century racing cars, rolled into the city and triumphantly came to rest in the Place Vendome.

Like nudes, these sleek, glossy bodies are pure architecture to me, and attract me like jewels glittering in the sunlight.
