GERMANY

Parts of both sides of my family are from opposite sides of Germany; my mother’s side from Berlin and environs, and my father’s side from Wurttemberg, near the Swiss border. Over the past ten years, I’ve explored Germany, doing several projects in various cities, small towns, and in the castles in Bavaria. I’ve fallen in love, as so many artists and collectors have, with the Art Scene of Berlin, and I love Hamburg for the varied areas of the city that don’t seem as though they should exist in the same place, but do. And, in addition, whether driving or taking the train to Ulm, Esslingen am Neckar, Bingen, Bachrach, Munich, Stuttgart, Frankfurt, Schwabgaum, Fussen, and so many others, Germany has provided images and memories beyond precious.
